Why NSU?
The philosophy of North Shore United Soccer, Inc. makes this organization the obvious choice for parents that are looking for the optimal environment to have their kids develop as soccer players and to install success driven attitude on the soccer field and in other areas of their kids’ lives.
Clubs that have no emphasis on developing winning mentality (and use the following expressions to justify their non-effective ways of developing players “winning or loosing is not important” “we’ll worry about winning when the kids get older” “it’s all about teaching the kids, it does not matter that we lost so many games and we play in a poor competitive level”) are not fully developing your child.
Some other clubs are only concerned about winning. Their players’ selection is mostly based on the size and athleticism of the candidates and the team wins out of pure physical strength. This strategy allows those teams to win games in the short run but player development suffers and consequently once other players develop physically, those clubs that rely on physical strength only, do not have the edge any longer. Such teams will suffer because they never focused on developing players and in the end may be forced to continuously replace their players with better athletes, jeopardizing the team development process.
Given these considerations, it is crucial for a club to have player development as the main focus.
The philosophy at North Shore United is clear and effective: we identify talented players and we work to develop them TECHNICALLY, TACTICALLY, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY. Clubs that do not focus on all four pillars are setting your child up for failure.
