Philosophy
North Shore United Soccer Club is committed to maintaining the highest standard of excellence for player development in the sport of soccer in the North Shore of Boston. The philosophy at North Shore United is clear and effective: we identify talented players and we work to develop them through the 4 sports pillars: TECHNICALLY, TACTICALLY, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY. We believe that practice and repetition are the keys for successful development. One of our objectives is to inspire players to continue practicing at home.
We provide first-rate instruction by experienced coaches, who are devoted to the sport of soccer and extend their passion and appreciation of the game to our young athletes. The Club's and the coaches’ primary goals are complementary at the individual and team level. We will strive to enhance each player's individual skills, while also creating and instilling a team approach to the game. The team cannot improve if the individual players' skills are not expanded. Thus, it is our expectation that improvement in a player's game through the extensive and structured coaching and practice curriculum, as well as through a challenging game environment, will allow the young athletes to develop as individuals. With the necessary tools to take the game to the next level, they will then have the key ingredients for advancing the team game.
In order to accomplish these objectives, we will maintain our standard of excellence on the practice field, as well as the game field - with our eyes set on league championships. Competition is a core part of our mission at North Shore United Soccer Club and we intend to build teams and athletes that will be competitive at the highest regional and state levels in their age group.
