NSU Program
North Shore United Soccer, Inc.’s most obvious objective and most visible
activities revolve around building boys and girls individual and team soccer
skills, athleticism, and mental toughness to successfully participate in an
exceedingly difficult sport with a skillful, disciplined, and fun fashion.
North Shore United Soccer, Inc. has created a robust and well-tested soccer
development curriculum that emphasizes ball skills, "one-touch,"
ball possession, movement off the ball, and the thought processes necessary
to improve a players ability to create the space and time needed to make good
decisions with the soccer ball.
North Shore United Soccer, Inc. pays a lot of attention on the development
of self-confidence and healthy attitudes about winning and losing. In addition,
other focal points include:
• setting goals and never giving up trying to achieve those goals;
• appreciating, valuing, and caring for teammates, working to make each
other successful;
• having a good time within a caring, supportive environment.
Our goal at North Shore United is to instill into all of our players a winning
mentality, a dedication to success, a commitment to reach one’s best
on the soccer field and duplicate the same attitude in other aspects of their
social and academic lives.
The Club's viewpoint regarding competition emphasizes the development of
technical and tactical skills and psychological attributes that will position
these players and the team for success at the most competitive levels of play
on the regional, national and international stage - both now and in the years
to come.
North Shore United Soccer, Inc. is dedicated to the proposition that the team
will successfully compete at the state, regional, and national levels and
thus provide opportunities for the young players on the team to gain exposure
and national visibility for college recruitment/scholarship possibilities
and for professional opportunities.
